Love...

With Valentines Day being today, I’ve had love on my mind, obviously, and by that I mean I’ve been questioning love. Wanting to know if there is such a thing, and just making sure people really mean it when they say those three precious words. Love is really important, and lots of people say they don’t want it because it just isn’t “fun” to be in love. I completely agree, it’s hard and frustrating, and completely annoying. But that’s what makes it so exciting! Love is not knowing what’s going to happen the next day! The adventure of it all is just exhilarating! And that, my friends, is one reason I hate valentines day. Valentines day is just an excuse for people to tell someone they like that they like them, and they wait until that special Valentines Day to tell them, when in reality they can tell them any and everyday! It also pushes us “singles” to try and get a valentine, when maybe we don’t want one. Have you ever walked down a hallway at a school and listened to the girls saying “I love you!! I‘ll see ya next period!!” Do they really mean…I love you…cuz if they do…..wow they have some issues, that only their fathers and mothers can take care of. I got a fortune cookie today that said “You will find a lost love..” what in the heck does that mean??? Does it mean I’ll see someone that I knew along time ago, and meet them in some random place?? Does it mean I’ll finally have a valentine??? I have no clue what it means…but hey, that’s what valentines day is for right?? To find “True love” and have absolutely no idea what love really means?? In Mr. Thompson’s class on Friday he gave us a journal asking if we were romantics. I plainly said…NOPE! Love is for people who have lives. I have no life, so no I am obviously not a romantic. I guess that right there is the point of love, not knowing what it means, not knowing weather or not it’s good for you, and not knowing if you are meant for that one person, or if there is someone else out there for you…..so HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!
