Prom Chapter 2

Chapter 2
When we got to the park he helped me out of the car, so cute! And wound his fingers through mine and led me to the swings. When we got to the swings I sat in one and he started pushing me.
“ So, how long have you been planning this?” I asked, and I grabbed his hand and led him over to me so I could see him.
“ A while,” he said “But how long do you think?” He asked smiling…
“ A month or 2, maybe longer…”
“ Maybe longer…..” He got in the swing next to me and held my hand as we started swinging. And then the unthinkable happened, Joey Cassidy came up to us. Ugh, Joey Cassidy, were do I start. I’ve known him for….10 Years? Yeah 10 years ever since me and my family moved here. I can describe him in one word: JERK!
“ Hey Anna,” he said and he noticed me and Jesse Holding hands and said “hey Brown.” I don’t know why but he calls Jesse by his last name.
“ Hi Joey.” I said with as much hatred as possible. Me and Joey kind off have a history, one thing is that he humiliated me for 6 years in elementary. And another is that he tried to break me and Jeremy up. So I don’t like him one bit!
“ So what’s going on with you two, you look like you were just punched in the face, Brown.”



“ I just asked Anna to go to prom with me and to be my girlfriend. And She said yes to both questions.”
“ Well good for you Anna, you finally got a boyfriend after Strickland.”
I looked at him and got to my feet turned to Jesse, and said,
“ Lets go Jesse.”
“ Okay Sweets.” he said
I laughed and we left.
When we got back to the car I took him to my side and asked, “Why does he hate you so much?”
He sighed and said, “You’ll Hate me forever,”
“ No I wont.”
“ Okay,” he said. He smiled and took a deep breath. “Joey doesn’t like me because I like you and you like me…” when he saw the confusion on my face he explained more, “ you see when we were in Junior year he found out that I really liked you, he didn’t like it, you see he thought of you like his property and well ever since then he’s really hated me for it. And well since were going out now he’s probably going to hate me forever.”
“Oh..” I said and then I got a big smile on my face “I’m sorry I’m such a big burden to you.” and I smiled even bigger.
“Oh yeah a big burden.” he said
He opened the door, let me in and drove me home. The next day at school he ate lunch with Emily and me, we all talked about prom, apparently Emily had been in on the secret. I’ll talk to him about that later. Then since we had our last classes together we walked to each of our them together, and after school something horrible happened, Joey was walking towards us.
“Ugh,” I said “Joey’s coming, can‘t a guy take no for an answer?” I groaned when I saw that he was not alone. “ And Austin’s with him.” Austin Webb is his best friend, and they have been best friends since I met them.
“I’ll deal with them.” said Jesse
“No, If they want to talk to me I will talk with them.” You could tell that he didn’t want to go with that plan. “All you have to do is go get in your car and I will deal with them, and then I’ll call you later….okay?”
“Okay, but if it looks like theirs going to be trouble I’m-”
“I’ll scream and you’ll call the police.” I laughed and kissed him on the check and headed for Joey.
“ Hey Austin! Joey. What do you to want?” I asked
“ We-”Austin started to say but Joey finished
“ We need to talk to you about your….boyfriend.”
“ Oh. Well, He and I are just fine thanks and we don’t really need your concern but hey thanks for trying, now if you don’t mind, boys, I’ve got lots of shopping to do for Prom.”
“ But-”
“ I’ll see you later. By Austin.”
“ By Anna.”
I got into my car and Drove away.
Ring, Ring
“ Hey Jesse….. no I’m fine and I don’t think their going to bother us anymore…..I cant tonight…..Prom is on Saturday! I have to go shopping!!….Of Corse I’m not kidding!! Haha Yeah I’ll see you later, But It is Tuesday so I only have 4 days till prom, and when I get a dress I’ll call you to tell you what color of tie to wear….Okay I’ll see later bye.” Click

“ Kay mom I think this is the one.”
I had been trying on dresses for almost an hour now, and I finally tried one on that I liked. A Yellow Strapless with a brown tie around the middle and a brown jacket that goes with it.
“ You look Beautiful, Sweetheart.” she chocked up at the end, I looked over and she was trying to wipe a tear away.
“ Oh mom, don’t be emotional.”
“ Who’s emotional Anna? Not me that’s for sure.”
“ Right mom.”
“ Twirl Sweetheart lets see if you can dance in it…”
I twirled, and the dress went all around me. “ Oh mom, I love it! Send a Picture to daddy. Can we get it please oh pretty please??”

“ Hold still Anna,” click “ Beautiful, now…we can get it.”
“ YES!!”
I took off the dress and bought the dress of my dreams, now for the prom of my dreams.
“ C’mon mom lets go home and show dad.”
